Following the successful signing of a Major Contract Agreement with Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TOTAL), in Nigeria, in November 2008, DAMAGIX NIGERIA LIMITED (DAMAGIX), the Leading Indigenous Suppliers of Pipes to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, has already concluded the supply of 25,000 tons, 46 km of 42?, X65, 19. to 25.4mm thick, 3-layer PE coated Line Pipes. The pipes, which are for TOTAL’s OML 58, are for the O.U.R Pipeline Upgrade Project.
As a result of good Strategic Planning by DAMAGIX, the Project was completed diligently and on schedule.TOTAL, the Operator of OML 58, is in Joint Venture Partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). NNPC, the Senior Partner in the JV, is the National Oil Company (NOC) of Nigeria.
This is the biggest Pipes Supply Contract ever awarded by TOTAL to an indigenous Company in Nigeria, and doing so has boosted the Local Content Index of TOTAL in the country.
Nigeria has recently put a lot of emphasis on Local Content Development Plan, and is currently fashioning a fierce Law on Local Content Development.
